Dance workshops are available for mature movers providing an opportunity for participants aged 55+ to engage in an art form that is physically and psychologically stimulating. Sessions contain a variety of dance styles, with the chance to choreograph movement phrases and perform these back.

Testimonials
I enjoyed everything but I really enjoyed making our own bit up. I loved performing on the stage and I love the people that do it with me. I really want to come and do it again
- Macey, age 9 – During a summer dance programme
I haven’t danced in years and absolutely loved being involved in the sessions! Emily and Rachel often asked me if I wanted to lead a game or help a group with the choreography and this really built up my confidence. There was space for me to help lead aspects of the class and I really enjoyed the challenge! Meeting new people and working together towards a performance was so much fun
- Abi, age 17 – Participating in a dance programme at the Y Theatre
I loved being able to drum and dance – it makes me feel free
