Moving Together provide a variety of exciting dance sessions accessible for mature movers, allowing an opportunity for participants aged 55+ to engage in an art form that is both physically and psychologically stimulating.
Moving Together work specifically with two very different client groups, forming two strands within this field. These are:
- A programme specifically designed for the elderly or participants who are predominantly chair bound. These music and movement sessions are inspired by a range of popular dance styles and songs from past eras, encouraging participants to reminisce.
These reminiscent dance sessions allow participants to take part in physical activity, engage psychologically, and to be creative. Moving Together have witnessed the pure enthusiasm and enjoyment experienced by residents in many care homes, and see Moving through the Decades as an opportunity not to be missed!
Sessions can be offered as a one off special, or on a weekly basis, and can last up to one hour. Please do contact us for more information or to book now!
- These sessions contain a variety of dance styles that allow participants to learn new movement and take part in a variety of dance activities. There is also a focus on collaborative practice, giving people the chance to choreograph their own movement phrases and work together to perform these back.
