DANCE IN
EDUCATION
Moving Together partner with a variety of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools to deliver dance as part of the curriculum and as extra-curricular activities.

Programmes always encourage pupils to take part practically in a variety of dance styles increasing awareness of differing genres of dance, developing physical and creative skills within the art form, and ensuring participants increase their confidence, self-esteem and wellbeing.
Our School Collective offer allows school staff to access CPD training, Discover Arts Award in a Day opportunities, allows dance leads in schools to access support sessions with our specialist practitioners, and encourages talent development through a theatre-based UDance First performance platform supported by One Dance UK.

Our dance in PE provision is available to Primary, Secondary and SEND schools and covers all dance elements required to achieve the National Curriculum. Sessions encompass a combination of fitness and creative activities to support development in dance, and can be delivered in blocks for different year groups throughout the academic year.

Our after-school clubs can be purely practical dance or can include the Arts Award qualification to enhance pupils development. All clubs allow children and young people to learn about a variety of dance styles, increase their choreography skills and provide performance opportunities to showcase pieces created collaboratively.
